Volvo puts the key data in the central electronic module. That's why a Volvo key takes longer than most.
On older Volvos you can get a key that starts the car and opens with the blade, or a full remote key. We quote both.
Try a new battery. If the car starts but the buttons don't work, the remote side needs re-pairing.
