Mercedes-Benz keys: FBS3 done at the car, FBS4 told straight
Mercedes keys come in two worlds. FBS3 cars, roughly 1997 to 2014 plus some 2016 to 2018 commercial vans, can get keys outside the dealer and we do them on site. FBS4 cars are dealer only, and we tell you before you pay anything.

- FBS3: most Mercedes from about 1997 to 2014, and some 2016–2018 commercial vans.
- FBS4: most passenger cars from about 2015 on, and the 2019+ Sprinter. Dealer only.
- New keys are written from the EIS (ignition module) data.

FBS3 or FBS4?
Model and build date usually settle it. For example, a 2011 E350 is FBS3, a 2018 C300 is FBS4. When in doubt, text us the model, year and a photo of the key. See FBS3 or FBS4 by model.
When the key won't turn
