Phone keys in 2026
BMW, Mercedes and others now offer phone and watch keys. In August 2026 NXP announced its ultra-wideband chip for BMW Digital Key Plus, starting with selected 2026 vehicle programs. A phone key is added by the owner in the maker's app and still relies on the car accepting a physical key. If the physical keys are lost, that's the job we do. More in BMW Digital Key and phone keys.
